Respite Care / Convalescence / Trial Stay
Everyone is welcome to join us for a temporary stay, whether it’s for a week or longer to experience living at one of our homes, to recover from an operation, or to give your carer a break.
At Park View we can offer Respite Care for a few days or a few weeks. We understand how difficult it can be for families or friends to provide ongoing care and this offers your family or carers the chance to do daily chores, go on holiday or simply have a break.
Some people may come to stay at Park View home temporarily for a ‘trial’ period to decide whether they want to live here permanently and to begin to make themselves familiar with life in the home.
We also provide convalescent, intermediate or re-ablement care to help you to recuperate after a hospital stay and to support you to be well enough to go back home.
Our convalescence care focuses on the recovery from an operation or debilitating illness. You might not still be poorly enough to remain in hospital, but your body may need a little bit of extra time to recuperate. A temporary stay in one of our care homes can help you get that extra time to recover while being able to relax in the knowledge that support is on hand when you need it.
You’ll also be able to participate in a range of activities, enjoy well-balanced, delicious meals and we’ll take care of all your laundry. We offer some extras and additional services such as hairdressing, exercise classes and chiropody – Our Home Services Manager will be able to answer any questions you have about adding on extras. If you’re interested in finding out more about our respite, convalescence care or a trial stay, please call 01452 671499
